Dr.
Brian McGinley received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University
and medical degree from Columbia University. Dr. McGinley completed an internship
and a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at ST. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital
Center. Dr. McGinley continued his training with a Fellowship at the Insall
Scott Kelly Orthopaedic Institute. During this time he received additional
experience in Sports Medicine, assisting the New York Knicks team physician,
as well as Total Joint Replacement with one of the founders of Total Knee
Replacement, John Insall, M.D. After completing fellowship training in New York City, Dr. McGinley joined Long Island Bone and Joint in 1998 and has enjoyed the many opportunities in this community. Dr. McGinley has been practicing in the Port Jefferson area for three years. He has an active practice involving care for many of the high school and college athletes in the area. He has also been asked to lecture for the Arthritis Foundation on Total Joint Replacements. In addition, he has been appointed PGA Physician for the U.S. Open at Bethpage. Dr. McGinley is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Medical Society of the State of New York, The Suffolk County Medical Society and is a member of the Medical Board at St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center.
